One of the many things Mr. Rogers taught was the importance of acceptance. That message is an especially critical one during adolescence.
As we think about how to talk to adolescents about the risks of vaping, we need to keep in mind that interventions that honor adolescents' need for status and respect are more effective than lecturing.
The question is not whether tech use is "good" or "bad," it's what factors make it positive or negative for adolescents--and how we can amplify the good parts.
