Press Release: Center for the Developing Adolescent Launches New Website

BERKELEY, Calif., Sept. 18, 2019—The Center for the Developing Adolescent launched its newly redesigned website today at https://developingadolescent.org. The new site makes it easier for visitors to find key content on adolescent development and better reflects the cutting-edge science that the Center represents.

The website will serve as a hub for connecting parents and youth-serving professionals to accessible, science-based content on the health and well-being of adolescents. Key topic areas will be developed and updated in the coming months, with current areas including Parenting, Sleep, and Adolescent Development. The blog will provide timely insight into the latest news and studies affecting adolescents.

“We’re very excited to unveil our new site,” said Deb Levine, Executive Director of the Center for the Developing Adolescent. “We finally have a digital presence that represents the bold innovation we bring to connecting research, practice, and policy related to the developmental science of adolescence.”

The new website features:

  • A rotating carousel of the most important news and content from the field of adolescent development
  • Key content areas summarizing the developmental science
  • Signup access for the Center’s monthly newsletter, Developing Stories
  • The Center’s weekly blog

The Center worked with Hop Studios in Vancouver, Canada, to build the new site based on branding design by Bay Area–based Studio 1500. Photos for the site are the work of students and mentors at First Exposures, a photography mentorship program in San Francisco for youth ages 11 to 18.
